Steven dancing on Shebang in 1966 at age 16 - clip 1

​This is a clip of me dancing on Shebang, with host Casey Kasem. This clip is on Shebang's one year anniversary show in 1966.
We are dancing to the song, "It's Not Unusual" by Tom Jones.

My dance partner on this show is Sherry, who was  one of Casey's favorites. She was 15 years old at the time and I was 16.

We are on the top riser on the left side, under the Shebang Firecracker. Casey Kasem comes up and talks to Sherry while we are dancing. I'm in a blue pinstripe seersucker coat (it looks white), with a black sweater vest under it.
I'm dancing with Sherry Goldshire. She's in a white dress and is on my left.

OMG, I had such a crush on her. She was like the teacher's pet: she was one of Casey's favorites (you can see, he stops to talk to her).
On the top riser with us is Famous Hooks, my best friend in high school from the dancing shows
(In my book, Heartbreak Kid, he is the character named Charles).

As host Casey comes up the stairs, the first one he talks to is my friend, June, in the bright blue, sparkly dress.
She often dances with Famous, but isn't on this day. Everyone always commented on how beautiful she was.
June is the daughter of famous character actor, Woody Strode,
who played the gladiator who battles Kirk Douglas in the movie, Spartacus.

Casey then comes up to the top of the riser, where we are all dancing under the Shebang Firecracker.
​He stops to talk to Famous first, then comes over and talks to Sherry, while we all continue dancing.

Casey then comes down and talks to Terry, who was the big heart throb on the show.
All the girls were in love with him! He tragically died at a young age.
