Steven dancing on Shebang in 1966 at age 16 - clip 2
This is a clip of me dancing on Shebang, with host Casey Kasem. This clip is on Shebang's one year anniversary show in 1966,
the same show as in clip 1, but in this clip we are down on the floor and dancing to the song, "Eight Days A Week" by The Beatles.
My dance partner on this show is Sherry Goldshire, who was one of Casey's favorites. She was 15 years old at the time and I was 16.
We are on the floor on the right side and we are shown several times during the song.
I am wearing a light blue/pin striped jacket and she is wearing a white dress.
My best friend, Famous is dancing next to me on the right
(In my book, Heartbreak Kid, he is the character named Charles).
My friend June, who often dances with Famous, is dancing on my left. Everyone always commented on how beautiful she was.
She is wearing the bright blue, beaded dress. June is the daughter of famous character actor, Woody Strode,
who played the gladiator who battles Kirk Douglas in the movie, Spartacus.
Our friends, Lynne and Manuel, are dancing on the riser in back, on the bottom right. Lynne is in a green dress.
(Manual is also portrayed in my book, Heartbreak Kid.
He is the one driving the '56 Chevy Nomad with Vibrasonic Sound in chapter one).
Also, shown a lot in this clip is my friend, Judy Baker, who was often my dance partner on American Bandstand.
She is wearing a yellow sleeveless dress and has long, straight brown hair, parted in the middle.
