Beck Mallett:
Beck Mallett was born in Lancaster, PA. Her parents raised her and Beck's three siblings in Portland and the suburbs of Chicago. In the spring of 2016, Beck graduated from Michigan’s Alma College with a BA in English. She thrived in poetry workshops and frequented the open mic stage on campus. Her work was published several times in the school's literary magazines. She remained in Michigan another year, living with her best friend, Jackie. She worked, saved and made the return journey to Oregon with Jackie about a year ago. In Eugene, she has found another poetry open mic home at Page 2, Tuesday evenings at Cush Cafe. Beck is an artist; she writes, sings, dances, paints, draws, models, acts and brings magic wherever she wanders. She is a proud Queer woman, Intersectional Feminist and eclectic hippy witch. Beck's creative process is fueled through her poems, where she embraces vulnerability, healing and love in the raw.
Jed Womack:
I am a man of many Arts; poetry, song, drawing, cardistry, theater, firespinning. In all of these is a goal of learning what isn't easy to teach. The difference between compost and composition, though, is of course usually a matter of words. I've performed open mics in Eugene for nearly ten years. My current project is interpreting "voices of" once European figures in Tarot cards into American types.
