June Poetry Events a great success!

The Summer Reading Series poetry events at the Eugene Public Library were very successful this year.

The Poetry Workshop on June 1st was enjoyed by many enthusiastic writers, both new and experienced.

The Poetry Showcase & Open mic on June 8th was once again an exciting event, with over 50 people turning out to enjoy the diverse nature of the readings/performances. Several poets commented on just that. One said, "It was so enjoyable to hear the different types of poets, and to see the books and art exhibits around the room. At most of the readings I attend, it is the same thing all the time. This was different, exciting and fun."
