A Benefit for the Oregon Poetry Association (OPA)

Barnes & Noble, Eugene, Oregon, presents a Student Poetry Open Mic and double book launch for local Eugene poets C. Steven Blue & Laura LeHew; to benefit the 2014 Oregon Student Poetry Writing Contest, sponsored by the Oregon
  Poetry Association (*Please see important benefit note at
  bottom).

Eugene Barnes & Noble, 1163 Valley River Center, 541-687-0356.  
When:
Tuesday, September 24, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.  
What:
6:00 - 7:00 PM - A student poetry open mic. Sign up at the door starting at 6:00 PM, for three minute time slots. Read poetry! Bring your parents! Buy books  and other stuff to support students!
7:00 - 7:30 PM - Laura LeHew book launch reading for her new titles, Willingly Would I burn and Turn (an anthology).
7:30 - 8:00 PM - C. Steven Blue book launch reading/performance for his new titles, S.O.S. ~ Songs Of Sobriety ~ A Personal Journey Of Recovery and  Black Tights.
 
Book signing will follow.
 
Why:
