If you want to read the poem afterwords, the words are below the video.
Rest In Peace, Casey Kasem
I was a regular dancer on Casey's TV dance show, "Shebang," in 1965-1966. He treated all of us kids so well. We will truly miss him. His trademark signoff began there, as he would comment at the end of each show, "Keep your feet on the ground, keep reaching for the stars, and until you get the one you want, we hope you will join us often on . . . SHEBANG !! Rest in peace, Casey.
I am reposting the links to the two videos of me dancing on the show in 1966. I am in, what looks like a white coat, dancing with the girl in the white dress. The videos are:

a poem I wrote today
a poem I wrote this morning in the bathroom . . .
so many pitfalls
so many letdowns
what is the real price
so you run it out
oh, if only
understanding escapes the view
(after the latest killings: Santa Barbara & Seattle)

My intention with this blog is to catalog and update my progress as I pursue my writing career in retirement. I will be posting about poetry events I am involved in, as well as the publishing and performing of my work. Here you can observe my adventures. Feel free to comment.
